Keeping fear foods in the house: Artist, England

  • Fear foods, like bread, caused me fear, guilt and anxiety
  • After just one week of Kelly’s course, What the F do I eat? I felt like a normal human being
  • Now I realize 90% of my overeating is because I wasn’t feeding myself properly
  • I’ve had 1000’s of “fresh starts” but Kelly’s course was the beginning of forever
  • I can eat 4 squares of chocolate and leave the rest for later without being obsessed about it
  • For almost a year I’ve been my HAPPY weight

I’m no longer scared to keep my fear foods in the house

Hi there!

Checking in a year after I took Kelly’s course!

And I’m happy to say I’ve unlocked my HAPPY weight and can keep bread and peanut butter and other fear foods in the house.

I can even have dessert and just move on.

Now I have the freedom to focus on what I love… get back to the stuff I loved as a kid. Like really get creative with my art. And enjoy each day as it unfolds. Healthy eating and exercise is important—but they’re in the background. My life and everything I love ❤️ is in the foreground. Work, friendships, dating and even getting dressed in the morning… everything is just way easier now.

Keeping fear foods in the house scared me

I signed up for Kelly’s course What the F do I eat? because I was tired of over-thinking what to eat, skipping meals, taking laxatives, bingeing, etc.

I was tired of over-thinking what to eat, skipping meals, taking laxatives, bingeing, etc.— Sasha, England

Trying to manage my weight and figuring out what to eat and feeling terrible after bingeing was creeping into the rest of my life and making everything miserable.

I was tired of thinking about how many pounds I wanted to lose and not trusting myself with fear foods, like bread and chocolate. The worst was that I was worrying about it all 24-7.

My exercise routine

Exercise is so essential for me to stay balanced— Sasha, England

As for eating and my weight: I still love exercising and get to Pilates 2-3x week, plus a dance class (sometimes 2x week), and a couple walks with friends.

Exercise is so essential for me to stay balanced, and I love the routine of it and the classes I take are fun.

Also I love the people I attend with.

I can keep fear foods in the house

I don’t regularly eat a lot of “treats” but when I do I’m now able to do it in moderation for the most part.

I'm able to keep all kinds of snack foods at my house that used to 'scare' me— Sasha, England

And I’m able to keep all kinds of snack foods at my house that used to “scare” me—like crackers, popcorn, peanut butter, bread etc.

At Thanksgiving I got this small box of sort of bite-sized brownies for myself and was able to eat a couple per day for a few days and really enjoy my holiday indulgence. And I’m dong the same for Xmas.

Last year, during your class/Thanksgiving was the first time in a while I allowed myself to indulge without guilt or bingeing.

Thanks so much for your help in starting me down that path.

I’m also able to have occasional indulgent meals out with friends or on dates without feeling guilty/weird and/or bingeing after because I no longer think: “I screwed things up” just because I ate richer food.

Making peace with fear foods has helped me lose weight

I’m down around 15 pounds since last January to 123-125 ish.

I feel really comfortable in my body and clothes— Sasha, England

The extra weight started coming off slowly as I built a healthy eating routine and shifted my pilates to cardio-based pilates classes in Spring of last year.

Just like you taught in the course, we have to get our heart rates up!

I still wouldn’t mind losing another 5 pounds, but I’m not worried about it and feel really comfortable in my body and clothes.

Hooray!

I’m definitely at a “happy weight”.

When I (rarely) stress eat fear foods, it doesn’t turn into a binge

Now I only weigh myself occasionally (a few times per month), but I don’t stress about it as my weight has stayed pretty even for several months now.

I do still occasionally stress eat, but it is usually so small (2-3 smaller items vs how it used to be: a whole grocery bag full of things, including fear foods).

So I don’t really stress about my stress eating. Ha!

I think eventually stress eating will just peter out, as I’m more able to talk myself out of it now.

But in the meanwhile, I’m not really worried about it and try to really enjoy whatever I’m choosing to eat, even if I am stress eating.

Your course got the ball rolling to help me normalize my relationship with food

All in all things are really, really good.

Your coaching made a wonderful difference in my life— Sasha, England

Thanks so much Kelly for all the coaching to get the ball rolling last year.

The time and all the support you gave was worth much more than the cost of your course.

Your coaching made a wonderful difference in my life, and I super appreciate you.
