stop overeating

  • I needed to stop overeating and dieting was NOT going to work for this gal!
  • Kelly’s system makes so much sense and made it natural to eat less
  • I feel so much better throughout the day

I want to stop overeating

After trying paleo, counting calories, eating low-fat food and doing other diets, I consulted a doctor. But none of the advice worked. Then I discovered Kelly’s website and ordered her book. Everything she suggested made total sense to me. So I followed her simple method. Now I feel satisfied between meals so I don’t have the desire to snack and I feel so much better!

I needed to stop overeating

The reason I read Kelly’s book: It took me 10 years to lose 10 pounds is because I was overeating and getting very bad digestive problems.

After a while my stomach pain and digestive issues were becoming too frequent so I decided to seek help.

But when I consulted my doctor, I was told that I was constipated… haha!

That didn’t seem right.

How do I stop overeating?

I knew I had to do something.

At first I tried dieting.

  • counting calories
  • going low-fat and low-sugar
  • paleo

…or whatever else I tried—or was thinking of trying—was not going to work for this gal!

Why I thought Kelly could help me stop overeating

Initially I’d refer to Kelly’s website to inspire myself and also to give me a kick in the pants.

Everything Kelly writes about, from food, to exercise to habit-building strategies and so on, totally makes sense.

I really enjoy her blog and the way she writes.

Kelly Clark’s book gave me the 3 steps to stop overeating

I love Kelly’s book!

I needed it.

Kelly’s “system” isn’t a new concept at all. And that’s why it resonated with me.

Her book gave me all the information I needed in one place and simplified the topic of eating and being healthy.

But the best part is I could put what I learned into practice.

I stopped overeating

Now I don’t eat so much, if at all, between meals.

And I’ve almost eliminated snacking, mostly because I just don’t need it.

I eat big enough meals anyway…and food tastes fabulous when you’re truly hungry.

Most importantly, I feel so much better throughout the day.

And I love Kelly’s “Make Today Count” motto because I use it in my head for more than just my eating habits.

You can stop overeating too

Many of us need to go back to a basic way of nourishing ourselves.

I’m sharing my story because if I can inspire someone else to think differently, and much more simply about eating, then that’s what I want to do.

Kelly’s book is lovely and I loved the little extras she sent along with it.

My hobbies differ depending on the season and the mood I’m in. I took up hiking a couple of years ago and really love multi-day hikes. I hiked the West Coast Trail in BC with members of the Scouting Group that I volunteer with.

In August of 2019, I did the 6 day trek, at the age of 50. I will never forget it!

Other hobbies I love include quilting and crocheting. One of the quilts I made can be seen in the picture with Wasabi. Perfect for catnapping!
